It may be that you are only thinking as fas as Christmas and maybe new Year these days – at least that takes up a lot of attention in my family these days. But let me mention one of the events that you dont want to miss in 2016 – the IntraTeam Conference 2016.
The IntraTeam organization is driving professional networking groups for different topics, mostly aimed at communication and intranet professionals at medium to large organizations. This conference is the yearly meet-up for the members of all of these groups and from my experience there is always a great atmosphere and real interest in sharing experiences and discussing topics of all sorts. So mark your calendar and take a minute to listen to Kurt Sørensen from IntraTeam.
Great to be invited to speak at this years #spsoslo! The event is in October and I will be talking about the latest developments in operational governance of complex SharePoint and Office 365 platforms.
Oslo is a great city! I have spent 1 1/2 year living there just a few years back, and I really miss the norwegian capital vibe, bars with heated outdoor seating all year, great public transportation and sushi from Alex’s sushi!
Hope to see a lot of old friends there!
I returned from a trip around Europe this week, speaking at the Paris 2015 SharePoint & Office 365 Saturday Conference, among other Things. I promised some of you to share my slides in the blog and give a quick trip-report.
First of all I want to thank the Guys behind the Paris event. SharePoint Saturday events are unique to the community of SharePoint, and I really believe that the community effort in events like this is a cornerstone in the success of SharePoint. The community is big, and even so I always meet old friends and colleagues in these events – Paris was no different there.
The site was different though. We met Saturday morning at the 40th floor of the Tour de Montparnasse, overlooking the entire citiy of Paris on a beautiful and clear day. After the mandatory coffee and croissant I got to chat with some of the most talented SharePoint Guys in Europe; Bill Ayers, Mathias Elming, Hans Brender, Paolo Pialorsi, Martina Grom, Chirag Patel among others. Always great inspiration and fun…
The view from the Speakers lounge – towards Tour Eiffel was spectacular.
My talk was “Making SharePoint governance Work for Business, IT and users” – showing methodologies and processes that have proven to work for companies, that have decided to implement governance around SharePoint; it’s applications, it’s infrastructure and it’s users, content & information. The presentation is available for download here: http://www.slideshare.net/anders123/making-share-point-governance-work-for-business-it-and-users
I finished my visit to Paris with a run around the streets on Sunday morning, only to see the “No Finish Line” race going on in the park by the Tour Eiffel. The concept is to run any number of laps and earn 1 EUR per lap sponsored by the race sponsors. Great chance to do something good for children AND for your self (keeping in shape) 🙂 I wanted to mention this great program; a cool and innovative way to raise funds for important projects – saving life’s and enabling possibilities for children – all around the world. You can be a part of that too! 🙂

I am really looking forward to this event. The Paris SharePoint Saturday with great speakers and industry people. It’s this Saturday in Paris if you are not already registered. I will be talking about the latest findings in Governance for SharePoint and Office 365.
In september SQLSaturday 2015 is held at the IT University in Copenhagen, Denmark. This year the team behind this event is teaming up with the danish SharePoint Community, run by my good friend and Procurati.com partner, Anders Dissing. There is a full track dedicated to SharePoint at this 3-day event. You can learn more at the event website: http://sqlsaturday.com/413/eventhome.aspx
